Cookie Policy

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. Similar technologies, such as the local storage of your browser, work in the same way. This policy explains which of them this website, operated by Happy Teppiche, Via Fornasette 12, 6833 Vacallo, Switzerland, uses and why. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What we use
Technical cookies. Some cookies and similar technologies are needed to keep the website working and secure, for example to load pages correctly or to remember your choices. They do not track you and cannot be switched off in our systems. If you block them in your browser, parts of the website may not work.
Statistics: Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin, Ireland) and Google LLC (USA), to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are viewed most. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier, which last up to 2 years. They store a random identifier, not your name or email address. Google receives your IP address and technical data about your visit, and may process them outside Switzerland and the EU, including in the USA.
Spam protection: Google reCAPTCHA. Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to tell humans from automated programs. When the service is loaded, Google receives data such as your IP address, browser and how you interact with the page, and may set the cookie _GRECAPTCHA, which lasts up to 6 months. We use it only to protect the form from abuse.
Fonts. The website may load fonts from Google servers. Your browser then sends your IP address to Google to receive the font files. No cookies are set for this.
Email sign-up form. The form on our sign-up page is provided by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) and shown inside our page. Brevo may set technical cookies needed to display and process the form. What happens to the data you enter is described in our Privacy Policy.
We do not use cookies for advertising or to build profiles for third parties, and we do not use social media tracking pixels.
Your choices
You can refuse or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Every browser lets you block all cookies or only those from third parties, and delete the ones already stored. If you block cookies, the website remains available, but some features, such as the contact form, may work less well.
To stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. More about how Google handles data is in Google’s privacy policy.
Legal basis
Technical cookies are used because they are necessary to run the website. For statistics and spam protection, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and protecting our website, and, where the law requires it, your consent. Under Swiss law you are informed about these cookies and their purpose and can refuse them through your browser settings. Visitors from the EU can also withdraw their consent at any time.
Questions and changes
If you have questions about cookies, write to us at info@happyteppiche.com. We may update this policy when we change the tools we use. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
